A Weekend of Festivities

The second annual Wanderers’ Rides will take place on June 25-26, 2011. This year there will be three bicycle rides, offering something for every level of  cyclist:

The Madison County Meander – this two-day ride, about 45 miles each day, will follow the same route as last year’s Wanderers’ Ride, with some improvements. On Saturday, it will begin in Chittenango at 9:00 and end by 4:00 at the Hamilton Village Green. After an overnight at Colgate University, it will depart Hamilton at 9:00 and return to Chittenango. This fully supported ride includes Chittenango Falls, Lake Moraine, historic Peterboro and the Erie Canal.

The Tri-City Ramble – this leisurely 16-mile course will tour Hamilton, Poolville, Earlville and the gentle landscape south of Hamilton. It will also start at 2:00 and end at the Hamilton Village Green.

The Hamilton Classic – this 24-mile race will start at 2:00 on Saturday, June 25, at the Hamilton Village Green and, after two challenging laps in the beautiful, countryside east of Hamilton, will end at the Hamilton Village Green.

A Party at the Hamilton Village Green for all participants from 4:00 – 6:00 will offer food, fun and entertainment by Tommy Hoe and the Barncats. Each rider will receive a t-shirt and there will be awards for highest fund raisers and the race winner.

You can register and raise funds on line by clicking “Start Now” at right, or go to “Registration” tab above. Find out your fund raising options by clicking the “Fund Raising” tab above. To be a business sponsor of the event, go to the “Sponsors” tab above.
